The Estimation of Diagnostic Value of Lymph Node Aspiration

Abstract

|
Aspiration method is simple and rapid for diagnosis of various lymphadenopathies and tumoral masses, and can be applied repeatedly for the subsequent study and determination of the effect of the treatment. Many authors reported that lymph node aspiration was of the significant diagnostic value. In this series of 70 cases performed aspiration, we had 77% of diagnostic value. Surgical biopsy was performed when aspiration failed to give the definite diagnosis.
